Hudson Institute is an internationally recognised Australian medical research institute.
After designing their 2015/16 annual report, we earned the trust of the marketing team. Over the years we’ve become their design partner, with the opportunity to push the brand further each year. We now support Hudson by designing their print collateral, display banners, and digital assets.

Improved consistency of communication with dozens of template designs
Hudson are leaders in medical research and needed their brand to reflect their innovative and cutting edge contributions to the field. Prior to our engagement, the annual reports delivered the facts of the institute’s performance over the previous year, but hadn’t pushed the boundaries creatively. We were challenged with bringing the brand to life, while maintaining their high standards of technical communication.
A successful brand design evolution:
Over the years we’ve built a fun and productive design partnership with Hudson. The team knows design and visual communication is a powerful marketing tool, and they love challenging us to evolve their brand to keep them at the forefront of the industry. Telling the human stories behind the research is one of the things we love most about working with Hudson, and our team is always happy to go on site to direct a photoshoot and talk to the people behind the science.
We’ve also helped Hudson maintain design and communication standards across their five research fields —with more than 470 world-class scientists working at Hudson, the institute is continuously publishing new material. We redesigned their printed biannual newsletter and developed a digital version for their website, we’ve also designed dozens of templates that their scientists can use to share their latest research.

Our user-centric perspective has helped bring the human side of Hudson’s work to life, and their boldly revitalised brand is reflected across all of their print and digital marketing collateral. Their new digital newsletter has increased readership and provided an opportunity to capture visitor details through news subscriptions.
